Resumen

Esta investigación se propone rastrear la trazabilidad del concepto del egoísmo, principalmente en la teoría económica y la filosofía política propia del liberalismo político y económico; y para ello es necesario dar cuenta del carácter contextual de la obra de los autores abordados, que permite explicar las características del pensamiento y concepciones como producto de un momento histórico particular, por ende, comprender tanto el texto como el contexto desde el cual habla y del cual emerge. La emergencia de éste concepto en los autores abordados, se sitúa espacio-temporalmente en un contexto con características particulares cada uno, en tiempos distantes, desde el s. XVI hasta el XX; pero que son posibles de comprender como propuestas encaminadas a explicar el mismo concepto, que comparten y se diferencian en algunos aspectos, y que se entienden como parte del largo proceso de resignificación del egoísmo.

This research aims to trace the traceability of the concept of egoism, mainly in economic theory and political philosophy typical of political and economic liberalism; and for this it is necessary to give an account of the contextual nature of the work of the authors addressed, which allows explaining the characteristics of thought and conceptions as a product of a particular historical moment, therefore, understanding both the text and the context from which it speaks and from which it emerges. The emergence of this concept in the authors approached, is located spatially-temporally in a context with particular characteristics each, in distant times, from the s. XVI to XX; but that they are possible to understand as proposals aimed at explaining the same concept, which share and differ in some aspects, and which are understood as part of the long process of resignification of egoism.
